Community Connections Resource Fair Connects Residents with City and Nonprofit Services
October 22, 2024
The City of Austin is hosting its annual Community Connections Resource Fair from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Oct. 26 at Akins High School, 10701 S 1st St.
This free event is open to the community and connects residents with valuable resources from more than 150 local exhibitors. City of Austin departments and nonprofit organizations will be at the event to share information and answer questions about their programs and services.
“The Community Connections Resource Fair showcases the tremendous array of City services and community resources available in the Austin area,” said Austin City Manager T.C. Broadnax. “As we look ahead to winter, we encourage our neighbors to take advantage of ways to lower their utility bills and get plugged into programs that can help improve their daily lives.”
Attendees can access on-site health services, enjoy free food, prizes and children’s activities and discover ways to lower their utility bills through the City of Austin’s Customer Assistance Program.
